This course provides basic information on teaching in Immersion school contexts with a specific focus on Cherokee Immersion. Content for this course utilizes academic articles, books, videos, and audio files. The goal is for individuals to have (1) a basic understanding of Immersion teaching concepts, (2) an understanding of the Cherokee Immersion School system, (3) the difference between non-Immersion and Immersion teaching/learning, and (4) a grasp of proficiency and assessment concepts required for Immersion teaching.
